What is a BCC?
Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC) is the most common type of skin cancer, often caused by prolonged exposure to UV radiation. BCCs usually appear as slow-growing, painless lesions that may look like:
- A shiny bump or nodule.
- A flat, reddish patch.
- A scar-like area with irregular borders.
Although BCCs rarely spread to other parts of the body, they can cause significant damage to surrounding tissues if untreated, making removal essential.
